The Three Types of Care
Our Services Include:
Three Types of Care:
First is initial intensive care also known as relief, acute or symptomatic care. Historically under this model an individual has waited until they are sick to consult a doctor and their goal is to reduce the symptom or disease. Care is discontinued when the symptom is alleviated and the patient feels better. Chiropractic provides relief to millions every year and is a way to recover a symptom-free life by allowing the body to heal and repair itself without the high-risks of drugs and surgery. Once the patient experiences this relief, the question must be asked "Now that I feel better do I discontinue treatment or do I continue with the second (reconstructive) and third (wellness) levels of care?"
Second is reconstructive health care, an approach that focuses on proper body function and not merely feeling better. Some call this prevention, but it is more than just that. The goal here is to stay healthy by keeping the body functioning correctly and adapting to it's environment. This care involves on-going correction of the V.S.C. (spinal malfunction that damages the nerve system, causing whole body dysfunction).
